TARGET GROUP This program is designed to meet the training requirements for Offshore Helideck Assistant as identified in the UKOOA guidelines for Competence and Training. Assist with the Preparation of Freight for Loading

  • IATA Dangerous Goods

Assist with Unloading and Loading of Baggage, Passengers and Freight

  • Actual / potential dangers to / from helicopter
  • Loading arrangement – passengers, baggage, freight
  • Correct wearing of PPE and fitting of seat harnesses

  • Correct embarkation – PPE, loading order, correct fitting and security of lifejackets

Assist with the Preparation for Refueling

  • Factors affecting the decision not to offload passengers prior to refueling.  (Type of refueling system, prevailing weather conditions)
