CABIN CREW FIRST AID

This course is designed to provide cabin crews with the knowledge and sufficient skill sets to be able to understand how to handle First aid situations and assess medical conditions while supplying basic in-flight life support and treatment to other flight staff and clients while under the duty of care of the airline/company.

Aims & Objectives: This course aims to train cabin crew in the principles of First aid, with practical demonstrations and exercises enabling the administration of basic first and basic life support with on-call medical advice, and communications with the relevant services on the ground.

  • Oxygen Requirements and hypoxia 
  • Stress Reactions 
  • Allergic Reactions including Anaphylactic Shock 
  • Hyperventilation 
  • Gastro-intestinal disturbance 
  • Air Sickness 
  • Epilepsy 
  • Heart Attack 
  • Stroke 
  • Diabetes 
  • Shock 
  • Burns, Scalds & Wounds 
  • Contamination of Skin/Eyes by Aviation Fuel, Hydraulic Oil or any other 
  • Liquids 
  • Fractures and Soft Tissue Injuries 
  • Aircraft First Aid Equipment 
  • Practical: CPR/Recovery position/defib/choking
