PRE-REQUISITES

Delegates attending ISTC for this training must have:

• Proven teaching or mentoring skills
• Be competent in producing visual aids for teaching purposes
• To already have proven experience and be competent in the wearing of breathing apparatus

ASSESSMENT

This course is assessed against the learning outcomes using practical observation throughout and a written test to determine the underpinning knowledge in the more technical areas of BA equipment and procedures.  There will also be a requirement for delegates to produce classroom presentations as part of a group or syndicate.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:

Training and / or assessment activities contained within this course may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements.  All personnel who participate in such activities must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.  Therefore ISTC is required, as a minimum, to ensure that prior to participating in practical exercises, the delegate must either:

• Possess a valid,current medical certificate, or
• Possesses an operator approved medical certificate, or
• Undergo medical screening by completing an appropriate medical screening forms as provided by ISTC.
