STCW95 ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING COURSE
Course ref: 31.000This model course aims to provide the training in advanced fire fighting in accordance with section A-V1/3 of the STCW Code. The emphasis of the training is in organisation, tactics and command.
COURSE OUTLINE
Competence 1: Control fire – fighting operations aboard ship
Competence 2: Organise and train fire parties
Competence 3: Inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment
Competence 4: Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire.
PREREQUISITES
The course is open to seafarers who have completed basic training in fire prevention e.g. the Fire prevention and Fire Fighting element of the STCW’95 Basic combined course. All trainees must be certified by a doctor to be in good health.
